DB: inflows and outflows for FX majors

Analysts at Deutsche Bank have studied the M&A flows into the major Forex currencies. An increase in inflows is usually a bullish factor for the local currency, while the decrease is negative.

The specialists point out that the biggest inflows this year are into the USD. The euro area, on the other hand, is going through a serious capital outflow in the recent months. Britain has been able to attract more capital on three month basis, but its year-to-date (YTD) balance has turned negative from strongly positive because of the tax issues. Outflows from Japan have surpassed this year the levels of 2013.
