EUR/USD: analysts' comments

Here’s another week of uncertain environment, so opinions differ.

Credit Agricole: Stay long on EUR/USD targeting $1.3830 and a stopping at $1.3330.

Goldman Sachs: EUR/USD is more likely to go higher near term.

Commerzbank: Hedge against more declines in EUR/USD, in the worst case to $1.3330.

SEB: Downside potential is greater as greater than the opposite even though we basically need a downside exit from the $1.3462/3569 “box” for confirmation. Bearish scenario will be reconsidered if EUR/USD rises above $1.3607.

BBH: If EUR peaked in early Oct just below $1.3650, it should now ideally hold below $1.3580. It can fray the downtrend line and probe near $1.3600, without really improving the technical tone. Still, EUR/USD but has yet to close below the 20-day MA at $1.3515 to slide to $1.3400.
