CFTC: USD longs declined
FXBAZOOKA.com - According to the latest CFTC report, released on Oct. 24, large traders and speculators reduced their USD bullish bets for the first time in 5 weeks. The value of net USD longs decreased in the week ended Oct. 21 from $43.04 billion to $41.20 billion. However, this was still the 10th straight week that USD bullish positions exceed $30 billion.
The speculators kept selling the single currency – net EUR short contracts were the largest since Sept. 2. All currencies have net bearish position versus the USD for the third week.
