Greek uncertainty continues
US dollar is steady as traders await the results of the 2-day Federal Reserve’s meeting that starts today.
USD/JPY is little changed in the 123.50 area. The pair visited 123.80 after the Bank of Japan’s Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said he was not making any assessment on nominal yen levels or predicting its future moves last week when he said to the parliament that the yen’s rate was “very weak”.
EUR/USD is trading in the 1.1300 area. Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis said in a German newspaper interview that he is not planning to present new reform proposals at a Eurogroup meeting later this week.
AUD/USD was rejected down from 0.7780 as the Reserve Bank of Australia repeated its intention for a weaker currency in the minutes of its June meeting.
