NZD/USD reached $0.8150

NZD/USD rose to $0.8150 today. Kiwi jumped as the Reserve Bank of New Zealand’s monetary policy statement was more hawkish than expected. The RBNZ raised forecast for the 90-day bill rate in the first half of 2014, indicating the central bank may raise the benchmark interest rate within that period. In fact, New Zealand’s central bank is the most hawkish G-10 central bank for now.

Resistance is at $0.8162 (August high, March lows), $0.8180/83 (55-week MA, 200-day MA), $0.8200. Support is at $0.8105 (July highs), $0.8090 (100-week MA) and $0.8060.
