Defense and aerospace industries support Britain's membership in EU
The vast majority of British defense, aerospace as well as security companies are convinced that the country needs to stay in the European Union.
The overall economic impact of this Britain’s move appears to be one of the number one issues for voters ahead of a long-awaited referendum on Britain’s EU membership. The industry body, ADS Group, for defense, aerospace as well as security companies in the UK, told that up to 70% of its members are assured it would be much better for their businesses if Great Britain doesn’t cancel its membership in this union.
The given companies realize all the benefits of Great Britain remaining an important part of Europe, including an ability to impact and shape European regulation, access to integrated EU supply chain and R&D financing, enabling Great Britain to compete worldwide.
The Industry’s view disclosed the comments of chiefs at more than a third of the UK’s largest companies, including key oil companies BP, Shell and a big telecoms group BT, which already in February warned that breaking up with the European Union would put investment, not to mention jobs at risk.
