Australian stocks go up at close
On Friday, Australian shares traded higher as revenues in the Mining, Energy, Resources and Metals sectors brought shares higher.
The S&P/ASX 200 gained 0.27% at the close in Australia.
The best performers of the trading session on the S&P/ASX 200 were Mesoblast Ltd with its 10.03% surge at 1.590, Seven West Media Ltd with its 5.37% soar at 0.785, OZ Minerals Ltd with its 5.57% growth at 7.010.
As for the worst performers of the trading session, they were Suncorp Group Ltd with its 4.09% dip at 13.140, BWP Trust with its 3.67% decline at 3.545 as well as Scentre, which tumbled 2.63%, being worth 4.995.
Ascending shares managed to outperform dropping ones on the Australia Stock Exchange by 670 to 423, while 322 ended intact.
Shares in OZ Minerals Ltd edged up to 3-years peaks, growing 5.57% at 7.010.
The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, measuring the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, sagged 2.70%, hitting 12.602 – fresh 52-week minimum.
