Taiwan stocks go up at close of trade

On Wednesday, Taiwan stocks traded higher after the close, as profits in the Glass, Electricity as well as Semiconductor sectors brought stocks higher.

The Taiwan Weighted soared 0.84%, hitting a fresh 52-week peak.

The best performers of the trading session on the Taiwan Weighted included Candmark with its 10% rise at 2.20, Phytohealth with its 9.93% at 32.10 as well as Lu Hai with its 9.90% at 64.40.

As for the worst performers, they’re Aoc, which tumbled 7.26% to 1.150, Epileds Tech, descending  5.35% to 20.35 and also Eclat Textile, edging down 4.29%, trading at 368.50.

Soaring shares outperformed dipping ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 487 to 241, while 127 remained intact.

Shares in Lu Hai surged to 52-week peaks, up 9.90%.

October delivery crude futures gained 0.51%, trading at $45.06 per barrel. November delivery Brent futures grew 0.51%, being worth $47.50 per barrel, while December delivery gold futures soared 0.15%, trading at $1356.00 per troy ounce.

USD/TWD tumbled 0.64%, trading at 31.215, while TWD/CNY sagged 0.23%, hitting 0.2141.
