Australian stocks move up at close

On Monday, Australia stocks traded higher, as revenues in the Gold, Telecoms Services as well as Metals & Mining sectors brought shares higher.

The S&P/ASX 200 managed to grasp up to 0.15%.

Now it’s time to mention the best performers of the trading session on the S&P/ASX 200. These are BT Investment Management Ltd, Resolute Mining Ltd and Syrah Res F. They surged respectively 7.66%, 5.20% and 5.14%.  

As for the worst performers of that trading, we should point out to Independence Group NL, Bellamys Australia Ltd and Infigen Energy. They lost, 4.98%, 4.39% and 4.22%.

Descending shares outnumbered growing ones on the Australia Stock Exchange by 542 to 524, while 281 remained intact.

The S&P/ASX 200 VIX, gauging the implied volatility of S&P/ASX 200 options, dropped 1.39%, hititng 13.910.

December delivery gold futures earned 0.98%, trading at $1264.15 per troy ounce.

The currency pair AUD/USD gained 0.12%, being worth 0.7595, while AUD/JPY dived 0.14% to 78.17.
